We are a neighborhood Thai restaurant and bar in the ‘Old Town’ district of Danville, California. The restaurant is housed in an original bungalow style home which for over 20 years was the site of the original Michelin Guide recognized Thai House restaurant. The original Thai antique decor and art work are kept as a classic counterpoint to the new ‘Mini Bar’ and a relaxing garden al fresco dining area, offering an elegant yet fun and memorable dining experience.
Our Menu is a collection of kub-kram ‘tapas’ style Thai snacks, classic Thai main dishes, as well as Thai comfort food which can be found around the seaside towns of coastal Thailand where a ‘sabai sabai’ (chill & relax) attitude is the way of life.

Our Story
Bungalow on Rose Coastal Thai is the very first project from our team - Angie, Chef Bank & Chef Bump
Our culinary journey started from our own backyard in the Esaan Province of Thailand at an open market where we developed our passion for cooking observing the food vendors craft their specialties of various Thai comfort foods while growing up. That passion led us to our first experience in the kitchen at a Thai restaurant in a seaside town of Rosebay NSW, Australia. There we learned the intricacies of how to work with the freshest seafood and Thai ingredients to maintain its freshness while striking the balance between spicy, sweet, sour, & salty. The experience we garnered led us to the opportunity to help launch a Thai food truck at the big Island of Hawaii. With this opportunity in the Town of Danville, Ca., we hope to bring you not just the freshest Thai seafood dishes but our lifetime of delicious journey!
